Here's my 1979 Z650C2 after 2009 restore

Here's what it looked like a short while after I got it in 2004

It needed a bit of sorting

Phase 1 was a running restore in 05/06 replacing naff bits but still leaving the bike useable for ride outs

The Electrics were a mess, been cut up with little of the original was remaining. All the main electrical parts required for the bike were working, but no way any electrical diagram could be followed.

Kawasaki no longer stock wiring parts for this model and the usual used parts suppliers didn't seem to have anything which hadn't already been hacked-up. So it was off to America where they have better weather and hence the electrics on their used bikes are often in better nick than here. Eventually managed to get hold of a decent one in the US and it fitted in perfectly.

Pictures below are actually what part of it looked like.
