I've been interested in all sorts of motorcycle racing since the days of my Suzuki AP50 is the late 70's and going to see the likes of Barry Sheene at the Transatlantic races.

I've attended race meetings in all decades since the 70's and seen many riders. In all the years I don't think many riders have managed to capture the spirit of motorcycle and racing quite like Kevin Schwantz. Don't get me wrong, there have been plenty of fantastic riders over the years in many different classes, but this guy was special. Riding in the premium class at a time when the machinery was as brutal as it has ever been and some of the best riders of all time were in the same class at the same time.

It's no surprise he was popular with riders in all countries as his style was all action and at times he was untouchable.
